We’re pretty sure velvet has been upgraded from interiors trend to homeware staple, with 1920s opulence becoming seemingly mandatory in every home. So, if you’re lacking luxe texture in your life – or just want to add to your collection – this fringed velvet pouffe is a must-make.
Channelling Art Deco extravaganza, Anna’s version uses mustard fabric, but any jewel-toned hue would do – just make sure your velvet is the non-stretchy kind so you achieve the desired effect.
This pattern is designed by Anna Alicia and was first published in Mollie Makes magazine issue 115.
This digital pattern download includes:
● Step by step PDF instructions with colour photography to talk you through how to make it.
● Printable PDF pattern sheet/s (these are UK A4 size pages which you can print out at home and also provided in A1 size sheets to send to a Copyshop printer if you prefer)
You will need:
● Upholstery velvet, 1 x 1.2m (39 3/8 x 47") (we used Stoff & Stil Upholstery Velvet in Dark Curry from www.stoffstil.co.uk)
● Upholstery foam cylinder, 45cm (18"), 36cm (14 1/8") diameter (we got ours from www.foamsuperstore.co.uk)
