You will need:
● 100% unwaxed natural jute cord or sash, 20m (22yd), 8mm (3/8") wide
● Raffia paper ribbon, 7mm (3 / 8 ") wide, 200m (218yd) each in natural (Yarn A) and white (Yarn B)
● DMC Petra 3, 100% cotton, 280m/306yd per 100g, one ball in pink (5224) (Yarn C)
● 5mm (UK 6, US H/8) crochet hook
● Electrical tape
● Stitch marker

Tension:
Tension isn’t essential for this project, though a slightly tight tension helps. We worked 7 rounds and 16 sts to 10cm (4").
Keep the spike stitches tight to prevent the sides of the basket sagging

Finished size:
Approx. 28 x 23cm (11 x 9 1/8"), excluding handles.

● 100m (109yd) pink baker’s twine, 0.2cm (1/8") thick (Twine A) (we used Solid Colour Baker’s Twine in Rose Pink)
● 300m (328yd) natural baker’s twine, 0.2cm (1/8")

● 10m (11yd) pink magician’s rope, 1cm (3/8") thick (Rope A) (we used Magician’s Rope in Rose Pink)
● 40m (44yd) natural decking rope, 1cm (3/8")thick (Rope B) (we used Manila Decking Rope)
● 4mm (UK 8, US G/6) crochet hook

TENSION
Exact tension is not essential for this project. Keep the tension even but not too tight, as the baker’s twine does not have much flex to it. If you are finding you have too much space between the rounds of the rug, tighten the tension; if your rug starts to curl upwards as you work, loosen the tension.

Approx. 80cm (31½") diameter
