For the Christmas Mice Tree Decorations, you will need:

■ Hayfield Bonus DK
(100% acrylic, 100g/280m),

Yarn A Black (0965)
Yarn B White (0961)
Yarn C Signal Red (0977)
Yarn D Light Grey Mix (0814)
Yarn E Oatmeal (0964)
Note Approx 2m is needed of Yarn A (for Santa mouse)
■ A pair of 3.5mm knitting needles
■ Two 3.5mm double-pointed needles (DPNs)
■ Toy filling, 100g
■ 2 safety eyes per mouse, 6mm diameter
■ 2 wooden coffee stirrers or lolly sticks, for skis
■ 3 cocktail sticks, for ski poles and wand
■ Black stranded cotton
■ Superglue
■ A 5x3.5cm rectangle of white felt fabric, for the hymn book,
■ White cotton thread and sewing needle, to make the hymn book
■ 4 small white pompoms for the hats and wand (available from www.hobbycraft.co.uk)

Note Each Mouse follows the same pattern for Head, Body, Ears, Arms, Feet and Tail. See notes under each Mouse for yarn colours. Use the longtail cast-on for all pieces unless otherwise stated.

22 sts and 28 rows to measure 10x10cm (4x4in) over st st using 3.5mm needles

■ Scheepjes Twinkle (75% cotton, 25% polyester, 50g/130m),
1 ball of Yarn G Gold (941)
■ A pair of 3.25mm needles
■ A 2.5mm crochet hook
■ Toy filling
■ Two 4mm black beads for eyes per doll
■ Cocktail sticks
■ Black and gold embroidery thread
■ Bauble hooks for hanging
■ Strong clear-drying glue

25 sts and 31 rows to measure 10x10cm (4x4in) over st st using 3.25mm needles

Measurements
Each doll is 13cm tall, and the larger drums are 4cm diameter

Note Use the cable cast on throughout.
