Inspired by kitsch Americana and iconic diner style, Twinkie Chan's fun hot dog project works up fairly quickly so you can make matching orders for all your friends ready for the next slumber party.
Don't stop at a plain dog either – customise yours by gluing on felt versions of your favourite toppings. We’re thinking sauerkraut, onions, ketchup and mustard. Though this project will definitely satisfy your crochet cravings, we cannot – and will not – rule out fridge raiding.
This pattern is designed by Twinkie Chan and was first published in Mollie Makes magazine issue 54.
This pattern is written in UK terminology.
You will need:
● Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice, 100% acrylic, 100g/156m per ball (or similar aran weight yarn), one ball each in:
Yarn A - Mustard (158)
Yarn B - Beige (123)
YarnC - Brick (133)
Yarn D - Scarlet (113)
Yarn E - Radiant Yellow (157)
● 5mm (UK 6, US H/8) crochet hook
● Tapestry needle

● Stitch marker
● 50cm (19¾") thin elastic or ribbon to create ties for your head (or crochet your ties instead if you'd rather)
● Needle and thread to match Brick yarn

Finished size:
Approx. 22cm (8¾") wide and 10cm (4") deep
