Inspired by the Setesdal sweaters of Norway, which use black with white motifs, Mary Henderson has used the hues of autumn sunrises and sunsets in this her jumper version. This pattern has relaxed fit, dropped shoulders, and short row-shaped shoulders worked in a single colour.
This intermediate adult pattern is designed by Mary Henderson and was first published in The Knitter issue 186.
You will need:
● Jamieson & Smith 2ply Jumperweight (4ply/fingering weight; 100% Shetland wool; 115m/125yds per 25g ball)
● Two 3mm (UK 11/US 2-3) circular needles,
40-60cm long, for ribbed hems
● 3mm (UK 11/US 2-3) circular needles,
40cm long, for collar
● 3.25mm (UK 10/US 3) circular needles, 80-100cm long, for body
● Stitch markers
● Stitch holder or waste yarn
● 2.5mm (UK 12/US C/2) crochet hook or tapestry needle for neatening ends
● Ribbon to finish steeks (optional)
Tension:
261/2 sts and 32 rnds to 10cm over dotty pattern using 3.25mm needles.
28 sts and 32 rnds to 10cm over Fair Isle pattern using 3.25mm needles.
Finished size:
In sizes 1-6
