About the design
Designer Lynne Goldsworthy took a traditional EPP and adapted it for the sewing machine. In the original version, the stars are made from Lone Star diamonds, whereas in this version, the stars are made from pairs of half-square triangle (HST) units.
The HSTs are in two sizes – 2in and 11/2in finished – to create the main stars and then the accompanying rings of half stars, which join the design together.
The Cranberries and Cream Christmas quilt pattern by Lynne Goldsworthy was first published in issue 80 of Today’s Quilter magazine.
