It features 24 calico pockets, each embellished with a simple stitched number, (and a few with Christmas-themed motifs too!) all pegged to an elegantly simple wooden embroidery hoop, and then finished with fresh seasonal foliage. Fill the pockets with festive treats and let the countdown commence!

The Hanging Pockets Christmas Advent Calendar is designed by Anna Alicia and was first published in Love Embroidery magazine issue 32.

SPECIFICATIONS

The digital pattern includes:

● Step-by-step text instructions and photos to walk you through how to stitch the design.
● Printable templates (these are UK A4 size pages which you can print out at home).
● An illustrated stitch guide showing you how to form each of the stitches required.

You will need:
● Calico fabric: off white
● Stranded cotton
● Adhesive soluble stabiliser
● Iron-on interfacing (optional)
● Embroidery hoops: 13cm and 18cm diameter
● Mini wooden pegs
● Cardboard
● Fine string or cotton yarn: white
● Foliage
● Florist wire and wire cutters
● Sewing machine and white thread
● Basic embroidery kit
