About the design

If all you want to do right now is pile on the layers, this jumper knitting pattern is for you. It’s chunky, cosy and oversized, but also has a statement sleeve and slightly cropped fit to elevate it.

This Embroidered Flower Jumper Knitting Pattern is designed by Vicky Mineikyte and Andy Brinkley and was first published in Mollie Makes magazine issue 126.

Pattern details

You will need:
● Wool and the Gang Crazy Sexy Wool, 100% wool, 200g/80m per ball, seven (seven, eight, eight) balls in Forest Green (037)
● 12mm (US 17) knitting needles
● 10mm (US 15) circular knitting needles, 80cm (31½") long
● Knitters’ safety pins
● Large-eyed yarn needle

For the embroidery you will need:
● Knitted jumper
● Tapestry needles in various sizes
● Assorted yarn in different weights and colours (we used blush pink, cream, green, light green, coral, dark mustard, light mustard and dark brown)
● Glass rocaille beads in gold, size 6/0 or 5/0
● Mustard sewing thread
● Sewing needle

Tension:
Approx 8 sts and 10½ rows to 10cm (4") over stocking stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row repeated) using 12mm needles

Size notes:
The pattern is written with an oversized fit approx. 25cm (10") larger than bust

Pattern comes in sizes S (8-10), M (12-14), L (16-18) and XL (20-22)
