About the design

Make your own special set of handy cross stitch fabric rulers, each with a unique and oh-sew-lovely design!

Get the set of three patterns for 14-, 16- and 18-count fabric – each includes measurements of 150 stitches along the length. Use them to adjust a design onto different fabric counts (holes per inch (HPI)) – just look at the stitch count of a pattern and refer to the ruler to easily see the new design size at a glance. Then you’ll know how much fabric is needed for your project.

This pattern was designed by Rhona Norrie and was first published in The World of Cross Stitching issue 297.

Pattern details

The digital pattern includes:
• Printable charts in colour and black and white, alongside a guide on how to cross stitch (these are UK A4 size pages which you can print out at home).
• Model shown in photos has been stitched using DMC brand threads – Anchor and Madeira conversions listed as close matches but some variation may occur.
• Handy shopping list of suggested materials, threads and making up items included, to stitch your work as per our example shown in photos.
