Pattern details

You will need
■ DROPS Alaska
(aran, 100% wool, 50g/70m)
1 ball of each
Yarn A North Sea (64)
Yarn B Sage Green (65)
Yarn C Fog Mix (62)
1 ball of yarn will make either
2 large or medium trees, or 3 small trees
■ A pair of 5mm needles
■ 2mm wire, 50cm
■ Toy stuffing
■ 3 wooden bases, 2cm high x 3.5cm diameter
■ A skein of red embroidery floss

Tension
17 sts and 22 rows to measure 10x10cm (4x4in) over stocking stitch using 5mm needles

Large tree 22cm
Medium tree 19cm
Small tree 15cm
(including bases)

Note After knitting, the trees are felted in a washing machine. They will shrink, and the fibres will matt together to form felt. This only works for high wool content yarns. Embroidery is added to finish.
