Granny Square Mini Backpack Crochet Pattern PDF
You will need:
● Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran, 100% cotton, 50g/85m per ball;
1 ball each in Buttercup Yellow (623) (Yarn A), Bubblegum Pink (651) (Yarn B), Lime Green (629) (Yarn C) and 2 balls in Spearmint Green (626) (Yarn D)
● 4.0 mm (UK 8, US G/6) crochet hook
● Yarn needle
This backpack is made up of squares. The front comprises of four squares which are joined and the back has one large square which is then joined to the front squares and a flap is added.
The straps are made separately and hand sewn into place.
A drawstring is made and threaded through the top of the backpack.

Tension:
A flower square to the first 4 rounds is approx 10cm (4") square
Finished size:
Approx 20cm (7 7/8") wide by 22cm (8¾") high

● Bobbiny T-shirt yarn, 92% cotton/8% other, approximately 120m/131yd per 900g bobbin, two bobbins in Lilac with White Dots (ours was from www.woollywhatknot.co.uk)
● 10mm (UK 000, US N/15) crochet hook
● 7mm (UK 2, US K/10½) crochet hook
● Two wooden beads, 2.5cm (1")
Tension:
Tension is not important for this project, but it’s important the stitches are tight so the bag doesn’t end up with holes in it

Approx. 30 x 25cm (11 7/8 x 9 7/8")
