About the design
Radiating class and elegance in its 19th century Parisian-style prints, this Double Wedding Ring Quilt pattern is a sumptuous design that transcends time. The Double Wedding Ring is usually made using multiple Y-seams where the leaf shapes and the large, curved edge square shapes meet the circle segments, but in this simplified version we have eliminated all the Y-seams. The curved sections are instead pieced on foundation paper piecing templates to speed up the process.
This pattern is designed by Lynne Goldsworthy and was first published in issue 86 of Today's Quilter magazine.
