About the design

Take on the cold weather with this thick and cosy hat, mitt and scarf crochet pattern designed by Pat Strong. Deep ribs, tassels, a pompom and some serious heft – this winter set has it all!

This pattern is designed by Pat Strong and was first published in Simply Crochet Magazine issue 132.

Pattern details

You will need:
● King Cole Timeless Chunky (90% acrylic, 10% alpaca,
100g/155m)
Scarf
2 balls Duck Egg (2910)
Hat
1 ball Duck Egg (2910)
Mitts
1 ball Duck Egg (2910)
● A 6mm (US J/10) hook
●A pompom maker, large

Tension:
11 sts and 8 rows measure 10x10cm (4x4in) over half treble crochet using a 6mm hook, or size needed to obtain correct tension

Finished size:
Hat measures 52cm (20½in) in circumference
Scarf measures 22x156cm (8¾x61½in) excluding fringe
Mitts measure 26cm (10¼in) long
