About the design

A humble sweatshirt is all you'll need as a pattern to sew this chic, reversible quilted coat. It's the perfect wardrobe addition for spring and you can sew the coat in all your favourite hues.

This pattern is designed by Paula Hope and was first published in issue 121 of Today's Quilter magazine.

Pattern details

This digital pattern download includes:
● Step by step PDF instructions with colour photography to make the finished jacket.

You will need:
● One (1) sweatshirt*
● Main fabric (Green on Flying Geese side) – 12/3yds/1.5m of 150cm wide dressmaking fabric
● Navy (Flying Geese) – Twelve (12) 5½in squares
● Cream (Flying Geese) – Forty-eight (48) 3in squares
● Patchwork – 4yds in total (see Notes)
● Batting** – 60in square
● Binding fabric– ½yd
● Dressmaking paper or similar – Two (2) to three (3) large sheets
● Marking pen/pencil or chalk
● Four (4) snap fasteners, buttons/toggles or ties depending on how you choose to finish off your jacket

Finished size:
● Bought sweatshirt prior to cutting up: UK size L
