You will need
■ Cygnet DK (100% acrylic, 100g/298m), 1 ball of each:
Yarn A Cranberry (298)
Yarn B White (208)
Yarn C Black (217)
■ A pair of 3.5mm needles
■ A stitch holder
■ 4 x white buttons for the trousers (3mm diameter)
■ 2 small wooden pegs (Hobbycraft)
■ 30cm of yellow DK yarn or embroidery thread for the buckle

Tension
24 sts and 30 rows to measure 10x10cm (4x4in) over st st using 3.5mm needles
