About the design
Turn a pre-loved pullover into a modern masterpiece using vibrant tapestry wool and four simple embroidery stitches.
We never tire of finding new things to stitch onto, and the material we have has used to create this striking wall hanging might just be one of our new faves. Snipped from a pre-loved woollen jumper, it’s fun to embroider, ups the cosy factor, and makes the most of the free and unwanted things that we already have to hand. Here, we will show you how to embellish your knitted panels with a mix of stranded thread and tapestry wool in punchy shades to create a beautifully botanical piece of wall art, complete with handmade tassels... Don't have an old jumper to hand? Try your local charity shop or thrift store and grab yourself a bargain.
This Floral Wall Hanging is designed by Lucy Freeman and was first published in Love Embroidery magazine issue 47.
